Fillings
When decay of a tooth has penetrated into a tooth, a cavity is formed. If you find that a tooth is very sensitive, has a sharp edge, or if you see a crack in the tooth or an existing filling, or if you see a piece missing, you might have a cavity.
Cavities are normally corrected by removing the decayed area and filling the tooth with either gold, porcelain, silver amalgam, or composite resins. With any of these fillings, maintaining good oral hygiene is important to maintaining your fillings and prevent future decay.
If you are experiencing pain and discomfort, or one of the other symptoms described above, call Admire Dental today. Cavities worsen when left untreated. Early detection and treatment will help prevent more serious dental issues in the future.
